아쿠아 의족은 하지 절단 장애인에게 접하기 어려운 스포츠인 싱크로나이즈 수영을 위한 제품으로 물속에서 건강과 재미와 자유로움을 목적으로 한 의족 제품이다. 싱크로나이즈 스포츠와 같은 수중운동은 하지 절단 장애인에게 가장 적합하고 환부에 무리 없이 할 수 있는 운동일뿐더러 근육 발달과 신체 균형에 많은 도움을 준다. 하지만 불균형한 양쪽 다리로는 자기가 원하는 자세나 원활한 수영을 하기 힘들기 때문에 이를 보완하기 위해 환부 실리콘 앞쪽에 동작 센서를 부착하여 다리가 움직일 때만 작은 프로펠러가 돌아가게 설계하여 유연하고 빠른 자세를 취할 수 있으며, 잠수시 작은 힘으로도 이동이 가능한 인체공학적인 디자인을 하였다. |
