역주행으로 인하여 발생하는 교통사고 방지를 위한 일방통행 턱 디자인 제안. One way-Hump는 일방통행의 도로에서 차량이 올바른 방향으로 진행시 차량의 방향성과 무게에 의하여 경사면을 따라 범프가 아래로 접혀 들어가며 차량은 방해를 받지 않는다. 이때 범프는 진행하는 차량이 완전히 통과할 때까지 충분히 접혀져 있는 상태를 유지하게 되고, 통과 후 다시 서서히 원래의 형태로 돌아가게 된다. 그와 반대로 역방향으로 차량이 진행을 하게 되면 정방향의 경사면과는 반대로 수직으로 솟아 있는 반대편 범프에 의하여 진행을 할 수 없게 된다. 이로 인해 역방향으로 진행을 시도하던 운전자는 진행을 포기 하게 된다. 올바른 진행방향 쪽의 경사면위에는 일방통행을 나타내는 표시가 음각으로 나타내어져 있고, 역방향의 수직면에는 회색과 노란색이 번갈아가며 표시되어져 있고 야간시 붉은 색의 경고등이 표시되어 진행금지를 나타낸다. 옆면에는 도로의 진행 방향을 붉은색의 표시로 나타내어져 있다. |

One way-Hump design proposal for preventing car accidents due to wrong way driving. One way-Hump does not block vehicles which go to the right direction because the one way bump will be folded to ground smoothly by the force of the vehicle’ weight and direction through the inclined side of the bump. While the vehicle is passing over the bump, the bump will be kept folded. After passing over, the bump will be gradually returned to its original shape. On the other hand, if the vehicle approaches to the bump and tries to pass over it to wrong direction, the bump which is not inclined (upright barrier edge) will not allow the vehicle to pass over. Therefore, the bump will make the drivers to give up driving to wrong direction. There is one way sign engraved on the inclination of the bump and “No Entry” sign which is written in gray and yellow is displayed on upright barrier of the bump that is glaring warning light at night. Traffic flow arrows are displayed on the side of the bump. |
