동양에서는 예로부터 맷돌을 사용해 곡물이나 과일을 갈아 즙을 만들어 사용해왔다. 맷돌은 옛 사람의 훌륭한 발명품이라는 이미지와 자연친화적인 이미지를 담고 있는 혁신적이면서 친근한 제품이다. 이러한 맷돌의 우수성과 동양적 아름다움을 디자인에 담았다. 일반 믹서기처럼 칼날의 고속 회전에 의해 내용물이 분해되는 방식이 아닌, 스크류가 저속으로 회전하여 투입된 과일이나 채소를 으깨어 즙과 고형물로 분리, 순수 원액만이 추출되어 내용물이 시간이 지나도 변하지 않는다. 투입구에서 바디로 이어지는 자연스런 볼륨감과 맷돌의 손잡이에서 영감을 얻은 컨트롤은 디자인의 포인트 요소다. 과일 잔류물이 전면으로 추출되었던 옛날 방식과는 달리 내장된 케이스에 잔류물가 담겨져 단순하고 깨끗한 제품으로 재탄생 되었다. 전면 컨트롤 버튼은 단순히 스위치를 누르는 행위보다 맷돌을 돌리듯 다이얼을 돌려 동작 시킬 수 있도록 하였고, 동작 중 투명 케이스에 라이팅이 들어와 작동중임을 가시적으로 알 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 맷돌의 투입구는 사용성을 개선한 형상으로 변경하고, 맷돌의 손잡이는 컨트롤 다이얼로 진화하였다. |

Traditionally, Asian people have used millstones to extract juice from grain or fruit and use the extracted juice in various ways. A millstone embodies the great inventions of our ancestors and the nature-friendly aspect of our product. It is really innovative and familiar product. These superior qualities and oriental beauty were applied to the Juicepresso’s design. Major design features are the naturally voluptuous appearance from the feed chute to the body and the controls inspired by the handle of a millstone. Unlike the old extraction method, in which a juicer extracts the leftover pulp forward, this product provides a built-in container for the leftover pulp. This structure makes the Juicepresso simple and neat. We followed the operations of a traditional Korean millstone. Turning the front dial knob control operates the Juicepresso. Since the lights under the transparent case turn on when the juicer is operating, users can recognize that juice is being extracted. |
