DIFF는 대구의 유일한 경쟁영화 축제이다. 하지만 DIFF는 불명확한 비주얼 아이덴티티 및 소극적 홍보성 등 지역민에게조차 큰 관심을 끌지 못하는 상태였다. 이에 DIFF만이 가진 다른 영화제와 차별화된 아이덴티티를 찾아내 재정립하여 지역사회의 문화축제에 새로운 활력을 부여한다. DIFF는 감독들이 서로의 영화를 평가하는 '작가주의'를 내세워 다른 영화제와의 차별점을 지켜오고 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 감독이 서로를 바라보는 시선이라는 의미의 'Finger frame'이라는 시각적 모티브를 도출했고 DIFF의 이니셜 F를 뒤집은 아이디어를 통해 확장성 있는 로고를 개발했다. |

DIFF is the only film festival in Daegu. but DIFF is not attracting much attention even to the locals over the long time because of unclear visual identity and defensive promotion. Thereupon, define the differentiated identity of DIFF and new ‘DIFF’s distinctive evaluation way is as follows. instead of inviting the judges, the directors assess each other’s films. Inspired by this way, drew out a graphic motif called the ‘finger frame.’ Thought the finger frame could represent the ‘auteurism eye’ of the film festival. and developed a logo that has an effective scalability by applying these elements to continuous ‘F’ in ‘DIFF’. |
