시각 장애인 들이 가지고 있는 가장 어려운 점이 바로 행동반경의 제한 이며 이들의 편안한 보행을 위한 방책이 연구 되어 지고 있다. 이에 따라 시각 장애인들이 자유롭고 안전하게 이동할수 있는 새로운 IT 기술 융합적 기기의 연구가 필요하며 근본적인 편리함을 제공하는 시스템이 요구 된다. -CONCEPT 점자 디스플레이 기술을 기본으로한 새로운 IT 융합 네비게이션 기기로서 시각 장애인들에게 가장 불편한 점인 이동의 제한에 관한 해결을 위한 새로운 시스템이다. GPS 기술과 현재 개발되어 지고 있는 점자 디스플레이 기술을 결합하여 시각 장애인이 목적지를 입력하면 점자를 통한 방향성 유도 방 식을 통해 손가락의 촉감을 이용해 길을 찾아 갈수 있는 시스템을 적용하였다. 내장된 카메라를 통해 근접거리의 장애물을 판단 하여 점자 또는 음성으로 정보를 전달하여 위험을 방지할수 있도록 한다. 기기의 형태 또한 시각 장애인들이 실제 점자 책을 읽는 행동에서 착안된 형태로서 문자 스캔 기술을 접목하여 일반 문자를 점자로 구현 하는 방식을 적용, 시각 장애인등의 자유로운 지식 공유의 근본적 문제점을 해결할수 있다. |
