우리 주변에는 다양한 사물들이 있습니다. 각각의 사물들이 가진 기능들이 다르듯이 형태들도 제각각 입니다. 가끔 우리는 서로 다른 모습들을 한 사물들이 우리주변에 어지러이 놓여있을 때 시각적으로 피로함을 느낍니다. 한 가지 컨셉트에 여러 제품으로 이루어진 ‘별자리’는 이러한 어지러운 각 사물들의 형태를 한가지 형태로 통일시킵니다. ‘별자리’의 모티브는 밤하늘의 별자리입니다. 어렸을 적 처음으로 달의 가까이서 자세히 찍은 사진을 본 것은 적잖은 충격이었습니다. 멀리서 보면 아름답던 달도 가까이서 보면 그렇지 않았습니다. 밤하늘의 모든 별들이 각각의 표면형태, 색깔을 지니고 있지만 우리가 보는 것은 통일된 모습이었습니다. ‘별자리’ 제품들도 각각의 기능들은 다르지만 마치 밤하늘의 별들을 보는 것처럼 통일된 이미지를 가지고 있습니다. 이러한 통일된 이미지는 사람들의 시각적인 피로를 덜어줄 것입니다. |

Around us, there are various objects. As each objects have diverse functions, their forms are diverse. Sometimes each object with its unique form clutters our environment and people feel tired visually. Constellation series, consisted of one concept and various objects, was designed to change disarranged environment and displays a consistent form in each object. The motif of the Constellation comes from constellation in a night sky. It was quite shocked to see clearest picture of the moon at close range. The moon seen from a distance was very beautiful but it was not beautiful at close range. When we look up, the constellation has consistent form even though each has their own unique surface form and color. Constellation series also have consistent form even though each object has diverse functions. Consistent form of Constellation can ease people’s visual fatigue. |
