Melbourne Potluck is a public experience that uses food to bring together a temporary community. The project celebrates cultural diversity and breaks down barriers using the universal language of food. Individuals use their mobile devices to share virtual food and drinks. A projection system creates an interactive media façade within the public space, allowing each individual’s digital contribution of food to be easily and publicly seen. They share food and drinks and use the chat room on their mobile devices whilst collectively affecting the media façade. |
