| 2016년 기준, 한 해 일회용 컵 사용량은 약 2,300,000,000개를 넘어섰다. 그러나 그에 상응하는 일회용 커피 컵의 분리배출 시스템은 존재하지 않으며 그로 인해 도시미관 저해, 자원낭비, 경제적 손실, 환경오염 등 각종 문제들이 야기되고 있다. 따라서 일회용 커피 컵의 재질에 따라 종이와 플라스틱으로 분리배출할 수 있는 분리수거함을 디자인하여 이러한 제반 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 그리고 이 과정에서 종이와 플라스틱의 투명성 차이를 디자인에 적용하여 사용자가 직관적으로 분리배출 방법을 인지할 수 있도록 하였다. | |||

| Based on research of the Korea Zero Waste Movement Network in 2016, more than 2.3 billion disposable cups have been used per year, However, currently there is no system for separating and discharging those cups. As a result, various problems such as disruption of city aesthetics, waste of resources, economic loss, and environmental pollution are occurring. To solve these problems, I decided to design a recycling bin that can be discharged into paper and plastic depending on the material of the cup. The difference in transparency between papers and plastics is applied in this model to help users to be intuitive in separating discharging items. | |||
