지난여름 횡단보도 앞에는 각양각색의 천막이 설치되었다. 폭염대비의 일환으로 지자체가 시민을 위해 궁여지책으로 내놓은 무더위 그늘막 쉼터였다. 더위에 지친 사람들로부터 많은 호응을 받았으나 한여름 그렇게 궁색맞은 모습으로 도시 미관을 저해하며 한자리를 차지하였다. 쉐이드판은 우리가 일상적으로 사용하는 부채를 모티프로 하였으며 기후변화의 영향으로 여름 폭염이 고착화된 상황에서 가로수 그늘이 미치지 않는 횡단보도 등 부득이하게 강렬한 자외선에 노출될 수밖에 없는 공간을 특정하여 신호등이나 공공시설물 기둥에 부착해 그늘막으로 기능하며, 미적으로 도시경관 개선에 기여하고자 한다. 쉐이드판은 폴딩되는 구조로 접고 펼 수 있으며 여름철 빈번히 도래하는 태풍 등의 급변하는 기후 환경에서도 능동적인 대처가 가능하다. 부채면은 다양한 그래픽요소를 프린팅할 수 있으며 홍보 매체로도 활용할 수 있다. |

We chose everyday fans as a motif for the sunshade. Due to global climate change, summer weather has become constantly hot. In places along the street not shaded by trees such as pedestrian crosswalks and the other places exposed to harsh UV rays, these sunshades will be set up next to traffic lights and columns of public buildings as coverings. This is to improve the aesthetics of the city scene. These sunshades are foldable and therefore, can be easily adjusted to sudden change in weather conditions such as typhoons. A variety of different graphics can also be printed on the surface of these sunshades and to be used as advertisements. |
