집단속에 살아가는 개인은 늘 그 집단의 법규나 규범들을 준수하며 살아간다. 그러한 것들은 집단의 운영을 좀 더 효율적으로 해주는 장점이 있다. 그러나 때로 우리는 규제나 규범으로 인해 자신을 표출하지 못하고 오히려 그것에 얽매여 스스로가 그 집단속에서 이루고자 하는 진정한 꿈이 무엇인지를 망각하기도 한다. 학교에서 직장에서 수동적인 자세로 눈앞에 놓인 것을 따르기에 급급한 우리들의 모습을 발견하게 되면서 왜 우리는 좀 더 자유로운 분위기속에서 자발적으로 행동하지 못하는가라는 의문을 가져본다. 이 애니메이션에서 동자승은 늘 조용하고 엄숙한 절 안에서 즐거움을 찾으려고 노력한다. 또한 자신의 신앙심을 좀 더 활기차고 흥겹게 표현하면 안 되는지에 관한 의문도 품어본다. 동자승 때문에 순식간에 전혀 다른 분위기를 만끽하게 되는 스님들은 그로 인해 일종의 카타르시스를 경험하게 된다. 어차피 피할 수 없는 것이라면 우리가 살아가는 하루하루를 좀 더 즐겁고 행복하게 만들어 가보는 것이 어떻겠는가! |

Every individual member in any group tries to follow many norms and rules made by the group. They have many merits that make us manage the group more efficiently. Sometimes we could not express ourselves to the full due to the norms and rules, and thus we forget many things that we want to do as a member of the group. While we found we were just following the norms and rules passively either at school or at work, we raised doubts about any possibility of behaving ourselves flexibly in a more comfortable atmosphere. The boy monk, in the current animation, always tries to find out some joyfulness in the calm and rigid temple. Also he has had his doubts about expressing his belief in Buddha in a more energetic and cheerful way. The senior monks, who enjoy a very different ambience to the fullest thanks to the boy monk, experience a kind of catharsis in a moment. Why don't we make our day-to-day life happier and more enjoyable if there is no way escaping the life? |
