| Movavle Tea Tumbler: Darye는 한국의 '다례' 차 문화의 보존과 시대에 걸맞는 도구적, 과정적 변용에서 출발했다. 일본이나 중국의 차 문화와는 달리, 한국의 다례는 형식보다 실용성과 그 과정안에서의 심적 향유에 중점을 두고 있다. 커피와 텀블러가 필수품이 된 현대 사회의 우리에게, '차, 다례' 문화를 좀 더 일상적으로 즐기기 위한 방법으로 간소화 된 도구의 모던적인 변용을 제시하고자 이 제품을 디자인하였다. 기존의 8가지 다례도구를 해치지 않는 선에서 각 도구 간 겹겹이 쌓는 방식을 통해 휴대성을 높이고 이러한 일상적인 변용과 동시에, 다례 의식에서는 온도, 시간과 같은 필수로 요구되어지는 '숫자'로 이루어진 요소를 '선' 이라는 직관적인 그래픽으로 재해석 하여 표현했다. '차' 문화에 대한 한국적 '예'의 향유와 도구의 간소화를 동시에 꾀하는 이 제품은 '디자인' 이라는 방식을 통한 한 문화권의 변용적인 문화 이동의 가능성을 제시한다. | |||

There is a tea culture called "Darye" in Korea, which is practical and folksy. "Movable Tea Tumbler: Darye" is the work where the association between the numbers; i.e 2 minutes to brew up the tea most tastily, and the Korean tea ceremony was expressed with the line of a graphical element. This work has expressed the practicality contained in Korean tea ceremony and the behaviour containing the eternal values on the “lines", simple graphics. These attempts will be helpful to modernise the inner values of culture without undermining them, which could be a clue to the question of 'how the culture could be kept?' |
