DESCRIPTION
Civic space plays an essential role in the life of a city like Seoul. Public space is created by not just the constructed work or the empty space in between, but also by the users of the space and their mutual interactions and behaviors. My main interest is in the interdependencises between elements forming public space: the behavior of people in public spaces, the influences of the built environment on social interaction and the design of civic space as a consequence of those activities.
