본 작품은 Lunar Calendar 제작을 위해 태음력, 달의 위상변화 및 상징적 의미 등을 종합적 시각에서 고찰하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 삭(신월) → 초승달 → 상현(반달) → 보름달(망) → 하현(반달) → 그믐달의 총 6가지 형태로 달의 위상변화를 형상화하여 표현함으로서 주기별 달의 형태 변화와 특징에 대한 이해를 높이고자 하였다. 달의 형상은 원을 의미하며, 원은 기준점을 중심으로 동일한 거리에 있는 점들의 결합체이며 시작과 끝이 없이 항상 같음을 반복한다. 또한 Unit(선)의 반복에 의한 리듬감을 통해 구성함으로서 달의 원형 이미지를 표현하였다. |

For this project, I examined changing phases of the moon and its symbolic meanings from a comprehensive perspective. A total of six forms of the moon; New Moon → Crescent Moon → First Quarter → Full Moon → Last Quarter and Dark Moon, were shaped and expressed to enhance understanding of the shape and the characteristics of the moon by cycle. The shape of the moon represents a circle. The circle in the design is a combination of points at the same distance around the reference point, and always repeats the same without beginning or ending.
