본 작품은 2017년도 삼일절 98주년 기념 작가전의 작품으로, 이육사 저항시인의 시를 소재로 하여 캘리그래피 작품을 하였다. 자신의 일생을 바쳐온 이육사 독립운동가의 시를 통해 다시 한 번 우리나라에 대한 애국심을 일깨우고자 하였다. 한글 캘리그래피의 독특하고 한국적인 선으로 그가 어떤 삶을 살았고 어떤 사상과 정서를 가지고 있었는지를 작품을 통해 표현하는데 초점을 두었다. 또한 동양적인 느낌의 캘리그래피를 통해 이육사의 시를 재해석하여 우리나라 국민들에게는 나라에 대한 애정을 가질 수 있도록 하였고 해외 관람객들에게는 대한민국 고유의 아름다운 정신을 알릴 수 있도록 하였다. |

| DESCRIPTION | |||
| This piece, for 2017: the 98th Anniversary exhibition of 3.1 Independence Movement Day, is based on the poems of Yooksa Lee, the poet of Resistance. The poet desired to awaken patriotism within the country through his life-dovoted work. I focused on delivering his life, thoughts and sentiments that he shared by using distinctive lines of Korean Calligraphy. Also, reinterpreting his poems in oriental Calligraphy, I wanted foreign tourists to taste Korea’s unique and traditional spirit as well as to evoke the patriotic spirit within Koreans. | |||
